A single pressure reading captures one moment. A 24 hour record adds context around daily use and recurring pressure changes. It can accompany a hydrant flow test when engineers or owners need a broader view of observed conditions.
We agree on the recording location, observation period, access, and water authority coordination before the visit. The recorder is connected for the agreed period and removed afterward. The deliverable is the pressure record and its documented field context.
The agreed report can include the pressure history, observation location, start and finish times, visible high and low periods, and notes about gaps or field events. Time references and the usable recording interval are identified so reviewers understand the record.
Pressure recording does not directly measure available flow or establish the cause of a pressure change. Hydrant flow testing and engineering review provide the additional information needed for design decisions. Discuss a 7 day observation when a full week is more useful.
